Chiriquí
A great diversity of climates has made Chiriquí one of the most productive provinces in the country. Coffee produced on farms in Boquete, won First Prize in the international tasting of the best coffees in the world, which included major coffee producers and tasters from around the world.
This province also provides first class eco-tourism activities like bird watching. One of the undisputed stars of this show is the Quetzal, considered a bird of extreme beauty. If you climb Barú Volcano, at the top you will see the fascinating cloud cover of the tropical forests and a panoramic sea view from the highest peak of the Republic of Panama. White river rafting, horseback riding, tours to coffee farms, and visits to a collection of over 2,000 orchids are also available.
