7 NIGHTS/8 DAYS
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL TO PANAMA CITY
You are transferred from Tocumen airport to Sierra Llorona Lodge (located at the Caribbean side) for an evening greet, dinner and briefing.

DAY 2 – ACHIOTE ROAD
An early start will put us on the way to Achiote Road on the Caribbean side of Panama. Achiote is the site of the famous Christmas Bird Count held by the Panama Audubon Society each year, consistently exceeding 340 species in a 24-hour period. Probably one of the best spots to search for diurnal raptors.
We will cover Achiote, El Trogon Trail and surroundings, where you can expect to see the Spot-crowned Barbet, Black Hawk-Eagle, Brown-hooded Parrot, Pied Puffbird, Gray-cheeked Nunlet and White-headed Wren, Rufous-crested Coquette, Black-bellied Wren, Montezuma Oropendola, Fasciated Antshrike, White Hawk, Yellow-rumped Tanager, Red-breasted Blackbird, Gray-headed Kite, Bay Wren, Olivaceous Flatbill, Chestnut-backed Antbird, Plumbeous Hawk, Bicolored Antbird, and several species of trogons, like Violaceous Trogon, White-tailed Trogon, and Black-throated Trogon–among others.
Mid afternoon, we will go back to the Lodge for your deserve rest.

DAY 3 – SIERRA LLORONA / SOBERANIA NATIONAL PARK
Early morning at the Lodge grounds you can expect to see Tanagers, Tucans, Hummingbirds, Trogons, Puffbirds and if you are lucky eou may also see the Blue Cotinga and Ornate Hawk Eagle which have bee seeing rarely in the are.
Transfer to Summit Garden / Old Gamboa Road.
Night at La Estancia or Albrook Inn.

DAY 4 – PIPELINE ROAD
Early morning pick up and transfer to Soberania National Park. Pipeline Road is one of Panama’s birding hot spots. Expect to see Slaty-tailed/Black-throated and Violaceous Trogons; Scarlet-rumped Cacique; Blue-crowned/Red-capped and Golden-collared Manakins; Crimson-crested/Cinnamon/Lineated Woodpeckers; Semiplumbeous Hawk, Collared Forest-Falcon; Snail Kites, Jacanas and Rufescent Tiger-Herons among varios other species on a guided full day birding trip.
After lunch visit to Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal.

DAY 5 – METROPOLITAN PARK
Early depart to the Metropolitan Park the only protected tropical forest found within the city limits of a major urban area in America. Here we will be looking for birds of dry and second-growth forest. Expect to see the Yellow-green Tyrannulet (rare), Rosy-thrush Tanager, Orange-billed Sparrows, Rufous-and-white Wren, to begin with.
After lunch we will continue to Cerro Azul.

DAY 6 – CERRO AZUL
We will explore the Lodge trails during this morning.
After lunch we will depart to Cerro Azul, and will do some birding at the Lodge sorroundings.

DAY 7 – CERRO AZUL
At Cerro Azul areas we will be looking for Rufous-crested Coquette, Yellow-eared Toucanet, Broad-billed Sapayoa, Black-and-white-Hawk Eagle, Violet-capped Hummingbird, Sulphur-rumped and Tawny-crested Tanagers to mention some.
Night at Casa de Campo.

DAY 8 – DEPARTURE
Early transfer to Costa del Este to take a look at some Shore birds.
Transfer to Tocumen Int, airport.
