City Tour: Half / Full day

The City Tour takes you through each Panama´s three cities: begening with the historical 16th century city known as Panama La Vieja, the first Spanish City on the Pacific Ocean, founded in 1519; continues on to Casco Antiguo, the 17th century Spanish colonial second city founded in 1673: this old city, that is being attractively restored, reflects the history of Panama intertwined with Spain, France and the United States through its beautiful colonial houses, museums, cathedrals and plazas–not to mention its cosmopolitan capital city. It continues with lunch, a visit to the handcraft market, and the 8th wonder of the world –The Panama Canal.
Itinerary
The Half Day City Tour takes you on a historic trip through time, since the first city of Panama La Vieja, where you can climb its Cathedral tower, walk through the history of “conquistadores” and pirates, visit the Museum and continue on to Casco Antiguo, home of the 17th century Church of the Golden Altar, ruins and restorations of colonial churches, convents and residences, Spanish dungeons, a Canal museum and a French monument to the 22,000 who died attempting to build the Panama Canal, and completes the course, crossing into the modern city.
The Full Day City Tour continues with lunch, a tour of the Canal Area and former U.S. military bases in Panama, and concludes with a visit to Miraflores Locks, where interactive exhibits explain the history and workings of the Canal, its nature rich rain forest and waterways, and for the “grand finale” you will see–very closely, ships on their voyage through the famous Panama Canal Locks.

Half Day: US$45 per person + 7% tax (2-3 pers.)
Half Day: US$35 per person + 7% tax (4+ pers.)
Full Day: US$120 per person + 7% tax (2-3 pers.)
Full Day: US$95 per person + 7% tax (4+ pers.)
A $20 per person surcharge roundtrip, will be assessed for day tours beginning and/or ending at Soberania and other surrounding Panama City areas.
