Flying over the Canal

Itinerary
Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Albrook airport to board a Twin-engine Piper Seneca.
Crossing over the Panama Canal, from the Pacific Coast to the Caribbean and back is an exciting way to combine the 17th century military fort arquitecture used to protect the commercial trade routes from pirates and the engineering masterpiece of the 19th century that changed world trade patterns.
Depart from Panama City heading north, flying parallel to the Panama Canal, and enjoy the sights of Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks, the famous Culebra Cut, Soberania National Park and the Chagres River (which empties into the Canal), Gatun Lake, Gatun Locks, further northwest Fort Sherman (former US military base), and southwest, Fort San Lorenzo, Colon city and the Free Zone and head back towards Panama City, following the same route over the main shipping channel.

A $20 per person surcharge roundtrip, will be assessed for day tours beginning and/or ending at Soberania and other surrounding Panama City areas.
