Day 1
Birding Pipeline Road
6:00am Pick up at your hotel in Panama City.
Early morning pick up and transfer to Sobrania National Park. Pipeline Road is one of Panama’s birding hot spots. Expect to see Slaty-tailed / Black-throated and Violaceous Trogons; Scarlet-rumped Cacique; Blue-crowned / Red-capped and Golden-collared Manakins; Crimson-crested / Cinnamon / Lineated Woodpeckers; Semiplumbeous Hawk, Collared Forest-Falcon; Snail Kites, Jacanas and Rufescent Tiger-Herons among varios dozens species you will be able to watch on a guided full day birding trip.
We will have box lunch at noonish.
2:00pm Transfer to Sierra Llorona Lodge (B-L-D)
Day 2
Birding at lodge grounds
With a list of 213 bird species you can listen to Birdsong from sunup to sundown, from hummingbirds and Tanagers to Tucans and Owls. Birding can be done at the lodge gardens, trails and side roads. The lodge is situated on a protected rain forest private reserve that can be explored through its trails.
Let´s bird since 6:00a.m., and will have breakfast at midmorning.
8:30 p.m. Night Owling after dinner, expect to see Mottled, Black and White and Crested owls.

Day 3
Birding Achiote Road
An early start will put us on the way to Achiote Road on the Caribbean side of Panama. Achiote is the site of the famous Christmas Bird Count held by the Panama Audubon Society each year, consistently exceeding 340 species in a 24-hour period. Probably one of the best spots to search for diurnal raptors.
We will cover Achiote, El Trogon Trail and surroundings, where you can expect to see the Spot-crowned Barbet, Black Hawk-Eagle, Brown-hooded Parrot, Pied Puffbird, Gray-cheeked Nunlet and White-headed Wren, Rufous-crested Coquette, Black-bellied Wren, Montezuma Oropendola, Fasciated Antshrike, White Hawk, Yellow-rumped Tanager, Red-breasted Blackbird, Gray-headed Kite, Bay Wren, Olivaceous Flatbill, Chestnut-backed Antbird, Plumbeous Hawk, Bicolored Antbird, and several species of trogons, like Violaceous Trogon, White-tailed Trogon, and Black-throated Trogon–among others.
